Christmas Fair

Last November raised in excess of £1300 - a little lower than last year but none the less a good profit considering the economic climate. Thank you very much to all of you who supported us – especially Hayes and Hayes Architects who sponsored the “Children’s Art Competition”. We have had several requests that we make this an “All Age Competition”!

New Committee Members

We would like to welcome Pam Stubbs onto the committee. However, we have several committee members going to retire in April. We are urgently looking for two new members to come forward to strengthen the committee. We would like to take this opportunity to thank those retiring for all their help and support. Carol parties

As usual we held our carol parties singing in six homes in the village on two nights in mid

December. Once again thank you to the hosts and the singers organised by Jill Dunstall and the guests who gave so generously. We raised just over £800 towards our funds. If you would like to host a carol party please contact us.

Village Fete

The Fete is on Saturday 27 th June. The Friend’s will be selling CD’s and DVD’s. If you have any you would like to donate or you are able to help on the day please contact Barbara Payne on 01580 211528.

Building for the Future

We have been told by the Friends that the greatest needs are for toilets, disabled access and refreshment facilities, so it is these elements that your committee are keen to support. To this end we will be pledging £27,000 (50% of funds held) and more may be added as this project progresses.

Art Exhibition

This year’s Exhibition will be held on Friday 28 th and Saturday 29 th August. A large team of helpers are needed to put on this event, volunteers are always very welcome! If you or someone you know would like to exhibit please contact us as soon as possible.
